1. The applicant was convicted on 27 March 2014 before Deputy Judge Wright and a jury of a single count of trafficking in a dangerous drug, namely 1.42 kilogrammes of a crystalline solid containing 1.37 kilogrammes of methamphetamine hydrochloride, contrary to section 4(1)(a) and (3) of the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Cap 134. He was sentenced to 23 years’ imprisonment. He now seeks leave to appeal against both conviction and sentence.
