On 26 October 2026, Deputy District Judge Zabrina Lau of the District Court handed down judgment in Huang Haoyu v Kazeroun Nasir (DCJ 5554/2019; [2026] HKDC 1726), allowing the plaintiff's claims in constructive trust and unjust enrichment and ordering repayment of US$77,474 with interest. Mr Ian Yu, instructed by Ng & Shum, acted for the plaintiff.
On 21 September 2026, Deputy High Court Judge Cooper KC handed down judgment in Bedrock Manufacturing Europe BV and Another v. Whalet Limited [2026] HKCFI 4942, dismissing the Plaintiffs' claims to recover €1,161,248.79 paid into the Defendant's account as the result of an elaborate CEO impersonation fraud. Mr Danny Tang (leading Mr Nicholas Hsu), instructed by Anthony Siu & Co., acted for the successful Defendant.
On 1 September 2026, Deputy High Court Judge Gary CC Lam handed down judgment in HCA 2366/2015, Lee Charles Goon Lok v Lee Kwok Ching and Others, dismissing the Plaintiff's claim and the 3rd Defendant's cross-claim against the 1st and 2nd Defendants, save for an order that the three Brothers, as managers of the Li Wa Fuk Tso, provide accounts of rental income from 11 remaining properties. Mr Jonathan Chang SC leading Mr Timothy Lam acted for the successful 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Defendants.
On 31 August 2026, District Judge Harold Leong handed down judgment in three consolidated actions between two brothers, Choi Wai Kwong (plaintiff) and Choi Wai Keung (defendant), finding for the plaintiff across the board.
