1. The defendant was convicted upon his own pleas of a total of four charges, namely one charge of possession of an offensive weapon, contrary to section 17 of the Summary Offences Ordinance, Cap. 228 (Charge 2), and three charges of resisting a police officer in due execution of his duty, contrary to section 36(b) of the Offences against the Person Ordinance, Cap. 212 (Charges 3 to 5).
