1. The point of law we are being requested to certify is "whether the Court of Appeal has rightly rely on the authorities of R. v. Barrick [1985] 81 CR. APP. R. 78 and R. v. Trevor Clark [1998] 2 CR. APP. R. 137 in arriving at a more severe sentence." (s.i.c.)

2. We do not consider that any issues of law of great and general importance arise from these matters and we decline to grant a certificate under the section.
