1. On 11 July 2016, the Court handed down judgment in HKSAR v Yeung Ka Sing, Carson [1] and HKSAR v Salim, Majed , [2] both appeals having been heard together. I will refer to the judgment in those appeals simply as “ Yeung ”. The four Questions of great and general importance heard in those appeals related to the offence of money laundering, a shorthand description for the offence contained in s 25(1) of the Organized and Serious Crimes Ordinance, Cap 455 (“OSCO”).
